Economical and dependable brass ferrules enable you to make up custom hose assemblies. These brass ferrules are annealed for ease of crimping and they are brightened and lacquered so that product did not loose color, luster especially by exposure to air, dust and dirt in the machine or on the shelf.
These are much cheaper but not as hard wearing. These have an antique-effect brown coating but can easily be polished to bright brass using steel wool and metal polish.
Taper the end of the stick to get a tight fit and secure with epoxy or pins - or use the traditional way of crimping the rim two or three times with a sharp nail and hammer.
A pipe ferrule is used in various industries like hardware, electrical & electronics, fiber optics, lawn and garden instruments, automotive, compressed-gas, fire suppression, welding, furniture, beverage, appliance, farm and lighting industries etc.
Note: When ordering ferrules it should be remembered that rubber ferrules will stretch and that metal ferrules should have the end of the stick tapered slightly, so always choose a ferrule slightly smaller than the diameter of your stick.
